Daniel Howard is a fourth-year PhD candidate and Teaching Fellow. He obtained his Bachelor of Civil Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he was a University Scholar and graduated first place. He earned his MA in Philosophy from King's College London, passing with distinction. He spent the 2024-2025 academic year as a pensionnaire étranger at l'École Normale Supérieure in Paris. He has previously worked for the Massachusetts Court of Appeal and the European Commission.
Daniel is interested in the relationship between philosophy and poetry. His doctoral dissertation examines the influence of Shakespeare's political thought on the early-modern social imagination. He is a member of the Society of Classical Poets and is currently finalizing his debut volume of lyric poetry.
