Biography
Daniel Howard is a PhD candidate and Teaching Fellow. He obtained his Bachelor of Civil Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he was a University Scholar and graduated first place. He earned his MA in Philosophy from King's College London, passing with distinction. Prior to coming to Boston College, he worked at the Massachusetts Court of Appeal and the European Commission. He spent the 2024-2025 academic year as a pensionnaire étranger at l'École Normale Supérieure in Paris. He is a recipient of the Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award.
Daniel is interested in the relationship between philosophy and poetry. His doctoral dissertation examines the influence of Shakespeare's political thought on the early-modern social imagination.
