Flex Dining Refund Policy
Depending on plan level, upon purchasing a Flex Plan, Maroon Upgrade, or Gold Upgrade, you automatically receive Flex Bonus Dollars at no extra charge. Both Flex Dining Funds and Bonus Dollars are part of a declining balance system. Bonus dollars are subtracted from a separate account and are used first. Bonus dollars not used by the end of an academic year are forfeited. After bonus dollars are used or forfeited, the Flex Dining Funds are then used, and, if a balance remains at the end of the academic year, this is carried over every year until a balance of $0 remains.
Student Refunds
Students receive Bonus Dollars only with a Flex 300, Flex 800, Flex 1200, Maroon Upgrade, or Gold Upgrade. Bonus dollars not used by the end of an academic year are forfeited regardless of plan purchase date. After bonus dollars are used or forfeited, the Flex Dining Dollars are then used. Unused Flex Dollars carry over every year until graduation. Students may purchase additional Flex Plans or Upgrades at any time and will receive bonus dollars upon every additional Flex 300, Flex 800, Flex 1200, Maroon Upgrade, or Gold Upgrade purchase.
If you have a remaining balance greater than 50 percent of the original plan purchase at the end of an academic year, these funds, the net of bonus dollars, are refunded and applied to your student account. All unused bonus dollars are forfeited after Commencement regardless of plan purchase date.

Faculty and Staff Refunds
Faculty and staff receive bonus dollars only with the Faculty/Staff Flex 75, Faculty/Staff Flex 200, or Faculty/Staff Flex 325 plans. Bonus dollars not used by May 31 are forfeited regardless of plan purchase date. After Bonus Dollars are used or forfeited, the Flex Dining Dollars are then used. Unused Flex Dollars roll over to the next academic year and never expire. Faculty and staff may purchase additional Flex Plans at any time and will receive bonus dollars upon every additional FS Flex 75, FS Flex 200, or FS Flex 325 purchase.
Faculty staff Flex Plans are refundable upon request while employed at Boston College. If you have a remaining balance greater than 50 perfcent of the original plan purchase on May 31, these funds, the net of bonus dollars, are refunded and applied to your account. All unused bonus dollars are forfeited on May 31.
