Sean Haefner is a doctoral candidate and teaching fellow at Boston College, where he also received his Joint M.A. in Philosophy and Theology. His research interests focus upon phenomenology and ethics, phenomenology of religion, and medieval epistemology. Sean's dissertation project explores Edmund Husserl's phenomenological treatment of the "moral ought" in relation to love and vocation. His other projects include studies of St. Thomas Aquinas's theory of contemplation, Bernard Lonergan's value theory, and phenomenological approaches to knowledge of God. Sean earned his B.A. in philosophy at Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts, where he studied the philosophy of Josef Pieper and the metaphysics of Aquinas.
