Profile

My research and publications concentrate on two areas: (1) The struggles and deepest desires of the human agent living in a secularized society, which seems to get lost in traditional values on the one side, and on the other, it leaves the human agent unfulfilled and in spiritual distress, despite the waste range of unprecedented opportunities and possibilities for experimentation. (2) Integration of religion(s) and communication among human beings within a multi-religious and multi-cultural democratic society in the process of globalization.
To be more specific, what interests me is the creation of harmony of moral and religious differences, or synthesis of cultural differences without compromising one's own cultural identity. Looking from a historical perspective, the most flourishing forms of humanism took place in those societies, which allowed their members to practice their deepest convictions. Following this line, I like to analyze the barriers, which impede dialogue between religion(s) and secular reason.
