Profile

Ravi Kotecha brings a unique blend of expertise in information security, technology management, and leadership to Boston College. Ravi holds a B.A. in Computer Science, an M.S. in Technology Management, and an M.S. in Information Security Leadership from Brandeis University. 

Currently serving as the Program Manager for Information Security at Harvard Medical School, Ravi actively partners with senior leaders to shape cybersecurity and privacy strategies. Ravi’s role encompasses implementing strategic security and privacy projects, advancing IT risk management and cyber defense programs, as well as executing research security initiatives. 

Ravi’s experience extends to industry in his role as an IT and Cyber Security Consultant at Giri Hotel Management, where he successfully led transformative projects, including a migration to Microsoft Office 365, the implementation of two-factor authentication for a diverse workforce, and the management of technical transitions during hotel acquisitions. 

Before joining Harvard, Ravi made significant contributions as an Information and Privacy Security Analyst at Brandeis University, where he developed and launched a comprehensive cybersecurity awareness program, standardized security incident response procedures, and partnered with leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Ravi has also previously taught The Business of Sports at Tufts University alongside a former NBA executive.
