God, Self, and Society (Fall 2026)
The Rev. Natalie L. Hill is a Ph.D. candidate in Theology and Education at the Boston College Gloria L. and Charles I. Clough School of Theology and Ministry. Her research focuses on how digital technology can effectively foster spiritual growth and ecclesial community.
She holds M.Div. and S.T.M. degrees in Practical Theology from Boston University, and an M.S.W. in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University.
Before pursuing doctoral studies, Rev. Hill spent 15 years in clinical practice as an eating disorder specialist. Her early teaching experience was as a field instructor, training supervisor, and research advisor for graduate students in social work, counseling, and pastoral care.
In addition to her doctoral studies, Rev. Hill has served as a chaplain at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 2018. She is also a graduate researcher with Boston College’s Digital Scholarship Group. In the latter role, she works with BC’s Catholic Religious Archive and other Catholic research initiatives using 3D modeling, photogrammetry, digital collections, and other data visualization techniques.
Rev. Hill is ordained in the United Methodist Church.
