Samuel Ruff is a Ph.D. student in Systematic Theology with a minor in History of Christianity. His research is on contemporary questions across christology, trinitarianism, and pneumatology, currently centered on multiple incarnations among extraterrestrials.
Future research will likely continue to be at the intersection of theology and science, such as on eschatology and spacetime, while perennial interests include Robert Jenson, political theology, and sexuality and gender.
Before coming to Boston College, Sam earned his B.A. in Spanish and Biblical and Theological Studies from Wheaton College (IL), where he also served as the president of the LGBTQ+ student organization, and earned his M.A.R. in Theology from Yale Divinity School.
Outside of academics, Sam enjoys running, playing trumpet, learning languages, and reading fiction.
