I study the general circulation in the atmosphere and its variations under climate changes. In particular, I am interested in understanding the coupling among various physical, thermal and dynamical processes that give rise to the fascinating patterns of weather and climate. I have been a developer and user of global climate models. My publications include studies on the stratosphere-troposphere coupling, ozone changes and stratospheric circulation, and ITCZ and tropical dynamics.
