Giving to Chemistry
Preparing our students for a bright and rewarding future is our principal mission. Whether it’s the experiences enjoyed in the laboratory or the classroom, we strive to give our students the best educational and research opportunities available. Giving to the Chemistry Department allows us to further enhance and broaden these opportunities.
Our outstanding faculty, working with their students in state-of-the-art laboratories are devoted to addressing important social problems, such as developing new therapeutic strategies to combat various diseases or harnessing, storing and using energy from the sun in a more efficient manner. Resources to support these studies, however, are limited. In the past, your gifts have provided students, who otherwise would not have the opportunity to become involved with these studies, a unique and transformative research experience.
In addition to expanding research opportunities, your gifts have also been instrumental in enhancing the intellectual environment of our department. Whether it is bringing internationally recognized scientists to Merkert to lecture and meet with students, or providing appropriately equipped meeting space to discuss the latest results, your gifts have been invaluable in supporting our educational mission. If you are interested in learning more about specific ways to support the department's teaching or research activities, please contact David Cave, Ph.D. at 617-552-9179 (Office of the Director of Development, Morrissey College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences).
