Christian Life Community's mission is to bring students together to engage in intentional conversations, explore tools of Ignatian Spirituality, and form meaningful relationships. Weekly small groups allow peers to open up in a supportive space about important topics such as spirituality as college students.

Spirituality

Looking for a meaningful break from the college grind? CLC is a welcoming space for students of all spiritual backgrounds to connect, reflect, and grow. Rooted in Ignatian spirituality, CLC helps you slow down and notice where something deeper might be moving in your life — whether it’s in your friendships, your classes, or even your stress. In weekly small groups, you'll share honestly, support each other, and learn to “find God in all things.” Plus, all are invited to the calming, candlelit Taizé Prayer — a peaceful pause in the middle of a busy week.

Community Programs

Looking for your community at Boston College? CLC is an inclusive space where deep friendships start in small groups and grow into something bigger. Throughout the year, we host fun and meaningful programs that bring the entire CLC community together — and friends are always invited! It’s a chance to connect beyond your small group, meet people across class years, and feel part of something significant. If you’re searching for a home away from home, you’ll find it in CLC.

Mission

Students from the Christian Life Community at student events day.
At the heart of CLC is a powerful call from Ignatian spirituality: to be people for and with others. In CLC, you’ll explore what it means to live out your faith by paying attention to the needs around you — on campus, in small groups, in your friendships, and beyond. Throughout the year, we offer meaningful opportunities to connect with and serve communities outside of BC, putting compassion into action and working toward a more just world. If you’re looking to make a real impact, this is where it starts.

Retreats

Retreats with CLC are your chance to unplug, catch your breath, and recharge — mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Whether it’s through meaningful conversation, creative prayer, time in nature, or just space to reflect, our retreats invite you to slow down and reconnect with what really matters. You’ll walk away feeling grounded, inspired, and more in tune with yourself, others, and God — all in a setting that’s both peaceful and fun.

Taizé Prayer

Students light a candle as part of the Taize Prayer presentation.
Need a midweek breather? Taizé Prayer offers a peaceful, candlelit space to pause, reflect, and just be. Rooted in a meditative style of Christian prayer from the Taizé community in France, this 30-minute service is all about slowing down, soaking in stillness, and becoming more aware of Christ’s presence within and around you. Join us Tuesday nights from 8–8:30 p.m. — no experience needed, just come as you are.
