Meet the Fellows

Beyonce is a senior from Jersey City, New Jersey studying Biology with a minor in General Business (CSOM). She is a Questbridge student admitted through the Questbridge National College Match. Beyonce hopes to become a pediatric physical therapist in the future and to open up her own practice. In her free time, Beyonce loves to work out, read, play volleyball, and try out new restaurants.

Henry is a senior from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. After coming to Boston College undecided, he is currently majoring in International Studies while minoring in History and Hispanic Studies (and he’s running out of time to change his major again). Henry is a research assistant on The Political Violence Project and a proud member of BC Special Olympics, Student Admissions, and Club Running. He loves playing guitar and playing sports. He and another advising fellow, Liam McDonnell, are already hard at work preparing for the intramural pickleball season.

Liam is a senior from Denver, Colorado. He's majoring in Philosophy with a Perspectives concentration and is on the Pre-Med track. Liam was undeclared until the spring semester of his sophomore year and is happy to talk about what that looked like. Outside of the classroom, Liam is a trip leader for the Outdoor Adventures Co-op and a member of the E-Board for the Ignatian Society. He and Henry (another advising fellow) are attempting to obtain an intramural pickleball mug. 

James is a junior from Miami, Florida, studying Neuroscience on the Pre-Med track with a minor in Hispanic Studies. He is a QuestBridge student. On campus, he serves as the Director of Community Service for OLAA and leads an internship with the Boston Public Health Commission in the Boston Public Health Club. In his free time, James loves to play basketball, hang out with his friends, and listen to music. He is a cereal connoisseur (with Cinnamon Toast Crunch being his favorite, of course).

Daisy is a junior from Elmsford, New York. She is majoring in International Studies, with a concentration in Cooperation and Conflict, as well as pursuing a minor in Managing for Social Impact (CSOM). She hopes to attend law school or work in public policy. Along with being an an advising fellow, Daisy is a Staff Writer for The Gavel's Opinions section and a member of the Advocacy Committee for Prison Arts Outreach. In her free time, she loves going on scenic walks, trying delicious foods, and taking the T into Boston.

Sarah is a junior studying Global Public Health and the Common Good and minoring in Hispanic Studies. In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, being outside, and beating the other advising fellows at any game during game night. She is excited to study abroad in Madrid, Spain this year, and hopes to figure out what she will do with her life - eventually.

Caroline is a junior from Memphis, Tennessee majoring in Economics with a minor in Finance (CSOM). Along with being an advising fellow, she is involved in the Women in Business Club and the Fashion Club. This spring, Caroline will study abroad at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. In her free time, Caroline enjoys reading, attending Celtics games, and shopping around in Boston.

Kiran is a junior from Des Moines, Iowa and currently studying Political Science and Economics. On campus, Kiran plays trumpet in BC bOp and sings with the Liturgy Arts group. He is also an E-Board member in the Cooking Club and enjoys working out, listening to music, and eating at local Boston restaurants.

Rutendo is a sophomore from Lakewood, Washington and is majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Medical Humanities. She is on the Pre-Med track, and her favorite class at Boston College so far has been Intro to Medical Humanities. 

Arleth is a sophomore from the Bay Area, California. She is majoring in Political Science and is on the Pre-Law track. She is a QuestBridge Scholar admitted through the QuestBridge National College Match. In addition to being an advising fellow, she also serves as the Event Coordinator for the Mexican Association of Students and is a McNair Scholar. During her free time, she loves going into Boston, walking around the res, and trying new cafes. 

Jorge is a sophmore from San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is majoring in English with a Finance minor (CSOM) and is weighing options to add another major or minor. In addition to being an advising fellow, he is involved with the campus theatre community: working as a department scenic painter, serving as assistant treasurer for the Contemporary Theatre student group, and actively auditoning for ongoing productions. He also attends weekly meditation sessions by the BC Buddhist Sangha group and started taking Full Swing dance lessons. For leisure, he loves going out to eat with friends and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
