Robin Landrith graduated in History of Christianity. She wrote her dissertation on the moral theology of Richard of St. Victor, in which she argues that Richard develops a theologically useful account of the relationship between God and humanity through his understanding of the debt of love. Richard elevates love’s demand on both lovers, overturning the order of power in relationships traditionally considered unequal.
Robin’s research interests include medieval and modern hermeneutics and theories of moral motivation. She has been invited to present papers at Baylor University and the University of Oxford, and she is a two-time recipient of the Clough Graduate Fellowship. In May 2023, the Boston College Center for Teaching Excellence awarded her the Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award for Graduate Teaching. She was also awarded the sixth-year fellowship.
In addition to her academic work, she was the volunteer assistant coach for the Boston College women’s softball team.
