Credit for Performance

Orchastra musicians in concert

To receive credit for individual lessons in voice or instruments students must register for the MUSP1925 or MUSP1985 one-hour lessons for credit through the Music Department website before drop/add period ends. See information on individual lessons for fees and regulations. Vocal/Instrumental Instruction for credit includes 11 lessons and three additional hours of master classes or performance. At the end of each semester of instruction, students must perform a jury to receive credit. Grades are P/F. Juries consist of performing prepared scales and a prepared piece or pieces. Students may apply three credits of lessons toward the 120 credits needed to graduate. Students continuing lessons after three semesters of MUSP1925 or MUSP1985 should register for MUSP1920 or MUSP1980 one-hour lessons non-credit.
