Licensure Disclosures

The Boston College Connell School of Nursing (CSON) offers academic programs leading to advanced degrees for which professional practice requires license or certification by state, local, and/or professional boards. Since the requirements of state boards and licensing agencies vary from state to state, it is important that students, including prospective students, should review the latest state licensure requirements for licensure as a nurse prior to applying to or enrolling in any of the CSON’s programs. Completion of a CSON program does not guarantee eligibility for state licensure or receipt of a license.

An indication is provided below regarding whether CSON's program meets a state’s licensure requirements, does not meet a state’s licensure requirements, or if CSON has not yet made a determination whether such program meets a state’s licensure requirements.

For states in which CSON has not yet made a determination whether such program meets a state’s licensure requirements, please contact the state agencies listed in the table below.

Please be advised, students should consult the chart below and the applicable licensing authority in the state in which you expect to work in order to confirm that CSON accreditation and curriculum meet the state’s eligibility requirements for the specific licensure or certification sought and that successful completion of our degree program will further your career goals.
