Journal for Continental Philosophy of Religion
Housed within Boston College’s Center for Psychological Humanities & Ethics and published by Brill, the Journal for Continental Philosophy of Religion is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to scholarship at the intersection of continental philosophy and religion. The journal publishes scholarly articles and book review essays engaging a wide range of topics in continental philosophy of religion.
The journal especially welcomes scholarship in the following areas:
- Phenomenology of religion
- Hermeneutics of religion and interreligious dialogue
- German Idealism and religion
- Psychoanalysis and religion
- Philosophical retrieval of Patristic traditions (Greek, Latin, and Syriac)
- Religious imagination, especially the role of visual arts, cinema, and literature
- Religion and gender studies
- The contribution of theology to political theory and narratives of identity
Selected Contributions
Since its founding, the Journal for Continental Philosophy of Religion has brought together leading scholars and influential voices in continental philosophy and philosophy of religion, publishing original articles, interviews, and review essays that engage some of the field’s most significant questions and debates.
Submission Information
The Journal for Continental Philosophy of Religion welcomes original scholarly submissions. Manuscripts should be 5,000–8,000 words and are submitted through Brill’s Editorial Manager for double-blind peer review.
