David Goodman is Dean of the Woods College of Advancing Studies, the Executive Director of the Center for Psychological Humanities and Ethics, and an Associate Professor in the Formative Education department within the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. He also serves on the faculty in the Counseling, Developmental, and Educational Psychology and Philosophy departments at Boston College. Dr. Goodman is an interdisciplinary scholar who writes at the intersection of psychology and ethical phenomenology. He also serves as the Series Editor for the Psychology and the Other and Essays in the Psychological Humanities Book Series with Routledge. He has authored and edited over a dozen books including The Demanded Self: Levinasian Ethics and Identity in Psychology (with Duquesne University Press, 2012) and Psychology and the Other (with Mark Freeman and Oxford University Press, 2015). Dr. Goodman is also a licensed clinical psychologist and has a private practice in Boston, MA.

Matthew Clemente is the Director of Academics & Operations at Center for Psychological Humanities & Ethics and an Assistant Professor of the Practice in the Department of Formative Education at Boston College.

Zenobia Morrill, Ph.D., is the Director of Strategic Projects and External Relations at the Center for Psychological Humanities & Ethics at Boston College, where she is also is an Assistant Professor at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. Dr. Morrill is licensed practicing psychologist and the President-Elect of Division 32 of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Humanistic Psychology (SHP), and an executive board member of several APA divisions. Her research areas include psychotherapy process, critical and liberation psychology, qualitative methods, and conceptual and ethical issues in psychology, psychiatry, and psychotherapy. She has served as a Research Officer of the United Nations, under the Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health; a Science News Writer covering research reviews for Mad in America; and was a fellow of the American Psychoanalytic Association from 2021-2023. Dr. Morrill is the recipient of three distinguished awards from the APA, including (1) the Sigmund Koch award for early career contributions to psychology by Division 24, the Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology;(2) the Distinguished Early Career Contributions to Qualitative Inquiry by Division 5, the Society for Qualitative Inquiry in Psychology; and (3) the Carmi Harari Award Early Career Award by Division 32, the SHP. Zenobia also serves as the Senior Clinical Theory & Practice Editor of the Journal of Humanistic Psychology, where she has coedited 5+ special issues, and she serves on the Editorial Board of the Psychology and the Other Book Series and The Humanistic Psychologist.

Mackenzie Caruso is the Assistant Director of Programming, Marketing, and Events at the Center for Psychological Humanities and Ethics. In May of 2026, she graduated Cum Laude from Boston College with a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences and a Minor in Marketing from the Carroll School of Management. She is passionate about the intersection of business and science and strives to amplify the work of the Center in strategic and meaningful ways.

Diane Reardon is the Assistant Director of Finance and Operations at the Center for Psychological Humanities and Ethics. Prior to joining the Center, she served as the Assistant Director of Programs and Operations at Boston College’s Lynch Leadership Academy, where she supported leadership development programming, events, and operations for educational leaders. Before joining Boston College, Diane worked at Bottom Line as a Senior College Access Advisor, supporting low-income and first-generation students throughout the college-going process. Diane graduated from Boston College in 2021 with a B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Development from the Lynch School of Education and Human Development and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. Diane is passionate about expanding access to high-quality education and creating meaningful programs and opportunities that support learning, connection, and community.

Sofia Rietti is a Ph.D. student in Philosophy at Boston College. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Colgate University and an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College. Her work sits at the intersection of philosophy and clinical practice, drawing on feminist philosophy, psychoanalysis, and phenomenological ethics to explore ethical and existential dimensions of mental health care. Through her research, she hopes to deepen philosophical understandings of suffering, embodiment, and relationality while bringing critical insights from therapeutic practice into conversation with contemporary philosophical thought.
