We envision being a top University dining program by nourishing the body, mind, and spirit of our students to help them reach their full potential to address the world's most urgent problems.
Our Mission
BC Dining's mission is to nourish the BC Community to foster community, dialogue, and life-long friendships by providing delicious and healthy food in a welcoming environment.

Our Core Values
NACUFS 2025 Most Innovative Dining Program (BRONZE)

Awarded to the dining program who were forward-thinking in all aspects of their operation, including, but not limited to, technology, menu, guest experience, student affordability, staffing, and employee development.
NACUFS 2025 Catering Program of the Year (GRAND PRIZE)

Awarded to outstanding catering programs that show value to their campus in everyday ways.

Sustainability Initiatives
Farmers Market
Offering the BC community locally-sourced produce, baked items, and more on Corcoran Plaza on Fridays.
Weekly FRESH Demos
Weekly culinary demos showcasing vendors that align with our FRESH criteria (Fair-trade, Regional, Equitable, Sustainable, and Healthy).
Green2Go
Enhanced Green2Go reusable to-go container program, resulting in 36,204 containers saved from landfills.
Food Waste Management
BCDS uses front and back-of-the-house food waste programs, plus student and employee outreach to meet its sustainability goals.
Schiller Movie Night
In collaboration with Schiller Institute and student sustainability groups, BCDS hosted a movie screening over an innovative, plant-forward meal.
Dish Collection Drive
At the end of each semester, our Sustainability Team visited various residential halls to collect plates, bowls, and silverware from dining halls.
Student Events & Programs

To highlight the cultural diversity at BC, Dining collaborates with student groups to design special menus. Video

Cooking Classes
Chefs hosted cooking classes with student groups on how to make Risotto, Pizza, and Chips & Dip.

Ramadan Meals
In collaboration with MSA, BC Dining ensured locations followed meal standards for Ramadan, including Suhoor meals and snacks.

Cultural & Religous Meals
Working with BC Hillel, meal options were available to students observing Passover, Yom Kippur, and Rosh Hashanah.

Dining Advisory Board
Twice a semester, we invite student representatives to ask questions and provide input to help us better serve our community.

Year-End Point Drive
BC students donated unused meal plan funds to support St. Francis House in Boston. BC News

Inspiring Change One Bite at a Time
In collaboration with the Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society and student groups RealFood and EcoPledge, BC Dining screened Eating for Tomorrow, a documentary uncovering how food systems can harm the environment.
