Faith and spirituality are expressed in myriad ways. For some, it's about worship, belief, and direct ministry. For others, it's about personal ethics, a professional calling, or just making sure neighbors have enough to eat. For still others, it's about space, breath, and meditation.
In the spring course Making Podcast Magic, the class produced a multi-part audio series called “Portraits of Faith,” with each student contributing a standalone audio segment. Their charge from Professor Scott Helman was to produce an audio story that somehow touched on or involved faith, broadly defined.
Students made pieces on a Buddhist temple in Quincy, a food bank at a Brighton church trying to recover from a damaging winter storm, a youth program promoting interfaith dialogue, a weekly dinner for Jewish college students in Greater Boston, and much more.
