How long will it take?


On average, students take two courses a semester and complete the program in three years.

How many courses are required?


Students must complete 19 courses, though qualified part-time MBA students may be eligible for course waivers.

Are classes in person or online?


Classes are predominantly in person, with some online class offerings every semester.


Program of Study

Are part-time MBA students eligible for tuition assistance from Boston College?
<p>Our practice is to evaluate every admitted part-time MBA candidate for advanced standing credit—a potential savings of time and tuition expense. Eligible candidates may qualify for a waiver of up to five MBA courses (for a maximum of 15 credits), based upon prior coursework and/or professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CFA). This translates to potential tuition savings of up to $29,010 (based on 2021-2022 tuition rates).</p> <p>Part-time MBA students may also apply for federally-funded financial aid. Can international students apply to part-time graduate programs?
<p>Boston College does not sponsor the F-1 student visa for part-time students. International students who wish to pursue their graduate degree on a part-time basis must be sponsored otherwise. If you require a student visa, then you are only eligible to apply to full-time programs.</p>

How long does it take to complete the part-time MBA program?
<p>Typically, part-time students complete the program in three to four years.</p> <p>Most students take two courses each semester. Students can also opt to take courses during two terms over the summer.</p> <p>Classes are held Monday to Thursday, and meet once a week from 7 to 9:30 p.m. during the academic year, with a limited number meeting from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Summer courses meet twice a week from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.</p>
