Important Enrollment Information

Congratuations on your admission to the Boston College Class of 2024! We look forward to welcoming you to our community.

Since you have been admitted from the waiting list, we kindly request that you confirm your enrollment immediately, but no later than three days from the date of your emailed offer of admission, through your Admitted Student Portal (ASP). This non-refundable fee will be credited to your tuition bill for the final semester of your senior year. ASP login credentials will be emailed to you the day after you receive your offer of admission.

Offers of admission from the waitlist are extended to fill vacancies in the Class of 2024. To that end, students who enroll from the waitlist are not eligible to postpone their enrollment to a future term.

For information on tuition and billing, earning advanced placement units, and to access the Class of 2024 Welcome Brochure, please visit your ASP.

Campus Housing Information

Due to the anticipated size of our first-year class and our commitments to continuing students, you will likely begin the academic year in a lofted triple room accommodation in our residence halls. In a lofted triple room, three students share a space that traditionally accommodates two students. The furniture arrangement provides each student with a bed (2 beds are bunked, plus 1 lofted bed), desk and dresser. However, there are only 2 closets.

We understand that being assigned to a lofted triple room may be less than ideal. As a result, any student living in a lofted triple room at the end of the first week of classes during the fall semester will automatically receive a 1/3 room rebate, totaling $1,590 per student. Should the room be de-lofted prior to the end of the fall semester, each student will retain the rebate. Students still living in a lofted triple room during the spring semester will accrue a weekly credit of $159, up to a maximum of $1,550. All spring semester rebates will be applied to student accounts during week 11 of the semester, regardless of whether a room was de-lofted earlier in the semester or not.

Within the first-year area, relocating students from lofted triple rooms is a high priority. Should a vacancy occur within the first-year area, students living in lofted triple rooms are given preference.  De-tripling will generally occur according to the following priority level:

  1. A de-triple offer will first be presented to students who are experiencing challenging roommate situations.
  2. The second order of priority will be to offer students who have expressed interest in de-tripling. Students may request to be added to the de-triple request list by emailing placement@bc.edu.
  3. The third order of priority will be to offer students in a lofted triple room the opportunity to de-triple to a vacancy in the same residence hall.
  4. In the final order of priority, the Office of Residential Life will randomly contact students in lofted triple rooms with an offer to de-triple.

Students living in lofted triple rooms are not required to de-triple if an offer is presented. The Office of Residential Life works to de-triple rooms throughout the academic year.

Thank you for your attention to this information. We look forward to welcoming you as a member of the Boston College Class of 2024!
