Thank you for your interest in the transfer waiting list at Boston College. Due to the extraordinary competition this year, we were unable to admit many students with strong credentials who would have enriched the quality of our campus. While we recognize that the waiting list may further extend the uncertainty of your college transfer process, we wanted to offer you the opportunity for possible further consideration.
Please note that we will not be able to determine if any students will be admitted from the waiting list until after June 2, 2020. If you have deposit deadlines at other institutions that fall before June 2, we advise you to secure a place at one of those institutions.
First, be sure to accept your spot on the waiting list by June 2, 2020. Please note that candidates are not rank ordered on the waiting list nor is it maintained on a first-come, first-served basis. Rather, if space becomes available in the class, we will consider those candidates who accepted a place on the waiting list.
In addition to accepting your place on the waiting list, please have your most recent grades or final transcript (if applicable) sent to us when available as we will be reviewing new academic information. We do not encourage nor consider any additional letters of recommendation. Furthermore, a visit to campus will not impact your candidacy, since members of the admission staff are not available to meet with waitlisted students.
In recent years, only a handful of transfer students have been offered admission from the waiting list. It is important to note that it is possible that no waitlist movement will be made if the class is full as a result of our initial admission offers.
If we are able to admit students from the waiting list, they will be considered for campus housing and financial aid based on availability.
