Welcome to the Asian American Studies Program
The Asian American Studies Program supports courses and campus programming that highlight the complex experiences of Americans of Asian ancestry. In courses, students learn about the extensive critical work that surrounds the understanding of this fast-growing, complex, and important population. Students also gain opportunities to work with faculty whose research is focused on this topic from a variety of perspectives, and think about how knowledge is connected to social justice issues that include and extend beyond the AAPI community. Campus programming includes sponsorship of guest speakers, events, and student activities that are of interest to the AAPI community.
For more information about the program, please contact the director Wan Sonya Tang.
The Benigno and Corazon Aquino Scholarship
Every spring, the Boston College Benigno and Corazon Aquino Scholarship recognizes a BC junior with a strong academic record who has been actively engaged in Asian American issues and service to the Asian American community on or off campus.
