Teaching & Training

In addition to our core academic programs, CIHE frequently designs and delivers professional development seminars and training modules for higher education administrators, leaders, policymakers, and academics.

The Center for International Higher Education is involved in the training of graduate students as an integral part of Boston College. In particular, the Center regularly hosts students from the Ph.D. program in Higher Education as research assistants.

The Center also administers the “International Perspectives” track through the MA program in Higher Education, manages a Professional Certificate in International Higher Education and actively contributes to the department’s Executive Doctorate in Higher Education. All of the Higher Education programs at Boston College have a strong international emphasis, due to the active involvement of CIHE faculty in the program offerings.

In addition to our academic programs, CIHE runs an annual summer professional development series, designed for higher education administrators, leaders, policymakers, and academics. The professional development series comprises a series of short courses, organized online every June. We also organize a virtual workshop on innovative internationalization twice per year.
