Real Estate Week is an opportunity for undergraduate students to learn about different roles in the Real Estate Industry and network with Real Estate professionals. This series of events is designed to elucidate interesting topics to students now and to provide students with insight into areas to explore further.

She previously worked in Property & Asset Management where she managed a vast portfolio of commercial, industrial, and retail spaces - giving her a working knowledge of what it's like to be a landlord. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston College. In addition, she has a Masters Degree in Real Estate from MIT.

Aiza Galdo brings 25 years of LIHTC experience, managing all aspects of complex real estate finance and development transactions. As a Team Lead of Underwriting, Portfolio and Loan Management she leads a team responsible for underwriting new transactions, managing an existing portfolio of debt and equity exposure, and ensures a scalable and well-managed business. Prior to joining Capital One’s Community Finance, she most recently held the position of Director, GP Property Holdings of a tax credit syndicator. Previously she was a Vice President with a large financial institution’s Community Lending and Investment group where she oversaw a portfolio of direct equity investments. Aiza also serves as Board President of Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation, a Ventura County based non-profit affordable housing developer of 23 properties and provider of property management services for 1,200+ units.

Olivia Finocchiaro is a portfolio Manager for JLL's Integrated Portfolio Services Team. They manage companies real estate portfolios globally executing transactions on their behalf while also managing critical dates and refining their portfolios to be as efficient as possible. 

She joined JLL in 2022 as a brokerage analyst in the Boston corporate office and quickly rose through the ranks due to her exceptional analytical and communication skills. In 2024, she transitioned to the role of a Portfolio Manager, where she has been instrumental in optimizing, refining, and managing iterative real estate portfolio processes. Olivia's responsibilities extend to managing companies' real estate portfolios and offering support for transactions on both national and global scales. Her proficiency covers a spectrum of product types, including office, lab, industrial, and land.

Olivia graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Boston College.

Lindsay graduated from BC in 2018 with a major in International Studies. While at BC, she was involved with the Corcoran Center, Career Center, and FACES Council. After graduating, she worked at AEW Capital Management for nearly five years in the Research group, where she conducted market research of real estate assets. Currently, she is an Investment Associate for Crow Holdings Capital on the Partner Solutions team in Boston, where she underwrites real estate transactions across property types and assist in due diligence and investment analysis.

Phil Mobley has served the commercial real estate industry as a researcher, analyst, and consultant for nearly 20 years. His career includes stints at the commercial brokerage Avison Young, PropTech firm Building Engines, and the research consultancy Kingsley Associates, as well as serving as an independent advisor to industry clients. As the National Director for Office Analytics, Mobley uses CoStar’s unique commercial real estate research platform to help clients formulate strategies, raise funds and close deals. He is a frequent keynote speaker and educational presenter at client and industry events and often contributes to media outlets and trade publications. He holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina.

Rodger Brown, Managing Director of Real Estate Development, brings 30 years of experience of affordable housing to his role and has been a part of the POAH organization since 2004. During his tenure at the organization, he has participated in the growth of POAH’s portfolio to more than 13,000 units in 13 states and the District of Columbia. He is responsible for overseeing the activities of all real estate development staff, managing resource allocation, department budgets, establishing strategic initiatives and providing direction on the most complex real estate transactions. His staff of 26 development and construction management professionals execute a variety of transactions ranging from acquisition and rehabilitation of single assisted housing assets to neighborhood transformative initiatives involving extensive community engagement, resident support services, multiphase executions and complex financial engineering. Prior to joining POAH, Rodger operated a real estate consultancy providing project structuring and development consulting services to a range of for-profit, non-profit and governmental entities. When out of the office he enjoys exploring the world with his family and road cycling. He is a graduate of Boston College and held a two-year HUD fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Department of Urban Planning.

Kate Bennett has worked in affordable housing development, policy and planning for more than 30 years, with a particular focus on public housing and neighborhood revitalization. She holds a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Kate recently retired as Administrator and CEO of the Boston Housing Authority, where she worked for over 25 years. She oversaw public housing and voucher programs that provide affordable housing for over 25,000 households in and around the City of Boston. In her tenure at BHA, she was instrumental in implementing several strategic initiatives, including more than $2 billion in redevelopment initiatives and capital upgrades; the creation of an asset management division to ensure long-term preservation of deeply affordable units; development of the BHA’s green, healthy housing and sustainability programs; and expansion of resident empowerment and self-sufficiency initiatives.

Prior to coming to the Boston Housing Authority (BHA), Kate managed affordable housing programs forthe City of Chelsea and the City of Newton. She lives with her family in Roslindale.

Mr. Colbert joined WinnCompanies in 2014 and currently serves as a Vice President of Development. He works on all aspects of the development cycle and is actively involved in various mixed-use and mixed-finance projects across the Northeast and Midwest. Development types include rehabilitation of existing housing, historic adaptive re-use, master planning and new construction.

He is responsible for implementing many of the company’s Boston- and Massachusetts-based development initiatives, including the $2 billion multi-phased redevelopment of Mary Ellen McComack, a 27-acre, 1,016-unit public housing community in South Boston that will be re-imagined into a mixed-use, ecosystem featuring 3,300 mixed-income housing units, structured parking, ground floor retail and community space; the $40 million redevelopment of Harborwalk Residences and Harbor125 Apartments in conjunction with the Boston Housing Authority; the $47 million development of The Watson in Quincy, MA, which features the largest number of middle-income housing units financed by MassHousing and recipient of the Urban Land Institute’s 2019 Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Award; and the $200 million transformation of the historic Sibley Building in Rochester, NY, which created more than 280 units of mixed-income housing, 20,000 SF of retail and 80,000 SF of office and tech incubator space and has won multiple industry awards.

A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Mr. Colbert currently resides in Boston. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Geography from Colgate University.

Michael supports the company’s investment strategy and assists with the underwriting, market research, and due diligence process for new deals made on behalf of its value-add investment funds. Michael actively works on deals across product types and in various markets with a specialized focus in office and life science assets.

Prior to joining Davis, Michael was an Analyst at Eastdil Secured in Boston where he closed nearly $6 billion worth of real estate transactions across both debt and equity. Before Eastdil, he completed summer internships at HFF and Skanska Commercial Development in Boston.

Michael graduated cum laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in Management, concentrating in Finance and Managing for Social Impact. He is an active REFA Emerging Leaders Committee member and a licensed real estate salesperson in Massachusetts.

Charlie uses 30 years of real estate experience and a critical eye for applying the Cabot Core Standard. He is a member of the Investment Committee for Core vehicles and all Cabot strategies. His background in operations, asset management, and leasing and investment transactions, make him a key member of the Cabot Team. Charlie joined Cabot in 1998 shortly after Cabot Industrial Trust went public and continued with RREEF after the REIT acquisition in 2001. In 2003, he joined the Investment Team of Cabot Properties and was instrumental in the acquisition of many of the buildings in Cabot Value Fund I. He has done the same with Value Fund II, Value Fund III, and Value Fund IV in addition to our current Funds. Charlie holds an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA from Connecticut College.
