Eric Folker
Originally from Chicago, Eric earned his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame. Eric became interested in the phenomenon of moving nuclei late during his Ph.D. and moved to a postdoc with Gregg G. Gundersen at Columbia University to study the mechanisms of nuclear movement during cell migration. From there, Eric moved to Sloan-Kettering to focus on the movement of the nucleus during muscle development in the lab of Mary K. Baylies. Eric started as an Assistant Professor at Boston College in the Biology Department in 2013.
