Welcome to the Boston College Law School Alumni Association!

I am Michelle B. Limaj, JD’07, this year’s president of the BC Law Alumni Board. The BC Law Alumni Association is a nationwide network of more than 13,000 lawyers at every station in life, working in every industry and all levels of government. We are dedicated attorneys spread out across the country with eyes, minds, and hearts invested and engaged in the fabric of American society. As we experience changes in our careers, our families, our government, and our economy, the BC Law Alumni Association is there as both an anchor and a buoy—grounding us in our values and lifting us to meet the moment.

In these first months of 2025, the BC Law community is where I have turned for reminders of who I am and what the role of a lawyer is at this juncture in our country’s democracy. Talking with alumni, faculty, and administrators at BC Law, I am repeatedly reminded of the intelligent, skilled, diligent lawyers doing the hard work of moving us through our country’s changes. Each story of a judge threading an impossible needle, each amicus brief on a previously uncontested point of law, each interview of a BC Law professor that helps clarify what is complex—these are just professionals doing their jobs, keeping our country on track by insisting on due process and respect for the Constitution. They make me proud to be a lawyer and a BC Law grad.

The focus of the Alumni Board this year is to help all alumni have access to the richness of our alumni network, with three main areas of development:

  1. Establishing local alumni chapters in the markets where we are most densely populated

  2. Advancing the mentorship program and expanding its reach to all three years of law school

  3. Promoting alumni engagement opportunities and lowering barriers to participation

If you are located in New York City; Washington, DC; Chicago; Los Angeles; Philadelphia; or Miami and would like to help grow our alumni chapters in these communities, we want you to get involved! And if mentoring, judging student competitions, or planning Reunion and other events appeals to you, please fill out our sign-up form or visit our BC Law alumni website to learn more. Whether you contribute time, talent, or treasure, getting involved with the BC Law Alumni Association is a great way to connect and reconnect with friends and graduates.

If you have any questions, please contact the BC Law Alumni Association directly at 617-552-2471 or lawalum@bc.edu and let us help find the role that will be most meaningful to you. We look forward to hearing from you!
