Hon. Neil K. Sherring is the Presiding First Justice of the Metro-South Division of the Massachusetts Housing Court. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Charlie Baker in 2018. Judge Sherring is Co-Chair of the Housing Court’s Educational Committee.
Prior to joining the bench, Sherring was a partner at Dakoyannis & Sherring, LLC, where he was managing partner of the firm’s litigation department. He also was a litigation associate at the Boston firm of Mintz Levin, a Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General, an Assistant District Attorney for the Northwestern District and a Massachusetts Superior Court Law Clerk.
Sherring has served as Program Chair and faculty member of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education “Trying your First Civil Case in the Superior Court” and “Deposition Workshop.” He is a Advisory Board Member of the South Asian Bar Association, co-founder of the South Asian Domestic Violence Task Force and former member of the Middlesex County District Attorney’s External Diversity Committee.
