Thom Shola is responsible for Enterprise Risk Management across Northern Bank, second line of defense risk and compliance oversight of Enterprise Risk Management with a concentrated focus on Risk Management, Regulatory Relations, Safety, and Soundness; End-to-End Risk Consumer and Commercial portfolios.
Thom has more than 31 years of experience in the financial services industry. He holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Third Party Risk and Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
Thom graduated from Boston College, Woods College with a Master of Science Cybersecurity Policy & Governance in 2019 and had previously taught at Brown University and currently at Boston College.
In addition to working at Northern Bank and teaching at Boston College, Thom is a member of the President’s Advisory Council at Mentor Rhode Island and Boston College Law School Advisory Board Member.
