Taxation II
Alex Walker teaches and researches in the areas of federal taxation and tax policy. Her scholarship reflects a broader interest in how the tax system operates in dialogue with economic, political, and social forces over time.
Prior to joining BC Law, Walker was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Tax Law at NYU School of Law, where she taught corporate taxation and tax procedure to J.D. and LL.M. candidates and served as an assistant editor of the Tax Law Review. Before entering academia, she practiced as a tax associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where she advised clients on U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other dispositions, and financing transactions.
Walker received her J.D., magna cum laude, and her LL.M. in Taxation from NYU School of Law. She received her B.A. in Economics, with departmental honors, from Haverford College. Before attending law school, she served as a Teach For America corps member in Trenton, New Jersey, where she taught fifth-grade math.
