Any Boston College undergraduate who is combining a concentration or minor in the Carroll School of Management with majors or minors in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences, the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, or the Connell School of Nursing.
If you are a sophomore in the 2026-2027 academic year who is interested in joining the Bridge Scholars Program, you should sign up for one of three dinners on November 17, 2026, March 3, 2027, or April 6, 2027 and attend four additional designated Bridge events over the academic year. You
must write reflections on the events in your Bridge notebook and record your attendance online. Students who complete these tasks will be invited to join the Bridge Scholars Program at the end of their sophomore year.
If you are a junior in the 2026-2027 academic year who is interested in joining the Bridge Scholars Program, you will need to attend a dinner on October 7, 2026 and two other Boston College events chosen from a list. You must write brief reflections on these three experiences and track your attendance online. Juniors must complete these requirements by the beginning of junior registration (October 22, 2026) so that they can register for the required junior courses being offered in spring 2027. We will be able to accept 85 juniors to being the program in spring, 2027.
Bridge Scholars will develop practical habits of mind that help them integrate humanities, management, and sciences in order to navigate complex situations wisely and successfully. They will be able to bring this integrative perspective to their future lives and careers. Bridge Scholars will also receive a medal to wear at graduation, their status as a Bridge Scholar will be noted on their transcripts, and there will be a reception during commencement weekend for Bridge Scholars and their families.
The junior course will focus on developing the wisdom and habits of mind needed to successfully navigate technological and social disruptions by
learning how to integrate the humanities, management, and sciences. It currently focuses on three periods of disruption, studying electrification and industrialization, the invention of the internet, and artificial intelligence.
