This year at Boston College I have been teaching Third-Year Reflection (fall and spring) for our junior students. Our curriculum requires students take eight semesters of Human-Centered Engineering (HCE) Reflection, a 0-credit hour class that meets once a week for 50 minutes. As we continue to build and grow the HCE program at BC, we have been thinking about reflection (a core element of Jesuit education) and how it can be integrated with the engineering curriculum. Our department chair Glenn Gaudette and I shared our perspectives as part of a webinar series for North American institutions in the International Association of Jesuit Engineering Schools this month. The webinar recording is online now!
