Early Decision
If Boston College Law School is your first choice, consider applying through our binding Early Decision program. Applicants who apply Early Decision will receive an expedited review, with special consideration that BC Law is the applicant's first choice.
- Application Deadline: December 1
- Decisions released: December 15
- Non-refundable deposit of $1,000: December 20
- Binding agreement: Early Decision matriculants must attend in the fall
- Three program options with up to $150,000 awarded over three years
Applicants applying Early Decision must submit their completed application by December 1. Applicants who apply Early Decision may not apply to any other binding decision program offered by another law school.
Our Early Decision program is binding. Applicants who are admitted through Early Decision must pay a $1,000 deposit by December 20 and matriculate in the fall term with no deferral option. They must also withdraw all applications to other law schools and refrain from submitting any additional applications. Applicants may also be forwarded to our regular decision process, waitlisted, or denied. Applicants who are not admitted will be released from our Early Decision commitments.
Applicants who apply Early Decision must select one of three options: Dean's Scholars, BC Scholars, or Eagle Track. All Early Decision requirements, deadlines, and outcomes are the same for each option.
Dean's Scholars
This highly competitive option is designed for candidates with exceptional credentials, typically with scores above our 75th percentile, who are committed to attending Boston College Law School as their first choice. Through this binding option, they will commit to attend BC Law for the fall of 2024, and receive a competitive scholarship (non-negotiable) of $50,000 per year for three years.
BC Scholars
This Early Decision option is designed for candidates with excellent credentials, typically with scores around our median, and again committed to attending Boston College Law School as their top choice. Scholarships for this program will be awarded in the range of $20,000-$30,000 per year for three years.
Eagle Track
This Early Decision option is designed for candidates who are committed to attend BC Law and understand that they will not be considered for a scholarship. Please consider financial needs when applying to this program.
