Mark Spiegel

Profile

Mark Spiegel is a professor at Boston College Law School and has served as the faculty director of the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau. His research interests focus on problems of professional ethics, particularly lawyer-client relations, and legal education. He teaches courses in civil procedure, federal courts, civil rights litigation, complex litigation, and professional responsibility.

A former Reginald Heber Smith Fellow, Spiegel was assigned to work in legal services in Chicago. He previously taught at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he directed its clinical program. During the Fall of 1991, he visited at Harvard Law School and taught civil procedure.

Spiegel has served on the board of directors of the Society of American Law Teachers and on the AALS Accreditation Committee.

He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Chicago.
