Anna Lucey

Biography

Anna Lucey is the Executive Vice President of Legislative and External Affairs for the New England Connectivity & Telecommunications Association (NECTA) where she oversees the association’s legislative and advocacy efforts across New England. Prior to joining NECTA, she founded A. Lucey Strategies, a Massachusetts-focused public policy consulting firm, and served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Dempsey, Lucey & Associates, advising clients on legislative and regulatory matters in telecommunications, labor, gaming, health care, and energy.

Before entering the private sector, Lucey spent almost a decade on Beacon Hill as General Counsel for the House Committee on Ways and Means, working closely with legislative leadership, the Baker Administration, and the Patrick Administration on major bipartisan legislation, including multiple state budgets, municipal health care reform, resort casino gaming, clean energy procurement, and workforce development.

Lucey received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, cum laude, in 2006 and received a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in 2001. She currently serves as vice-chair on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Trust and as Secretary on the Board of the WICT Network, New England Chapter.
