The fitbit — a pedometer that tracks steps taken, calories burned, stairs climbed, and distance traveled by the user — is arguably becoming one of the most popular accessory items on the Boston College campus, especially among those who participate in the BC “Walk Across Campus” fitness program. It’s also a symbol of the BC community’s commitment to health and wellness, as reflected in the University’s successful HEALTHY YOU initiative.

So, if you use a fitbit as part of your fitness routine, especially on campus, send us a photo of you and your exercise buddies with your fitbits in action. You might wind up in the Boston College Chronicle.
