Students at the Connell School of Nursing receive enhanced clinical training in a 2,000 square-foot laboratory that houses 12 hospital beds, low-fidelity manikins, and task training models.

The Brown Family Learning Laboratory, formally dedicated during a ceremony in Maloney Hall, was possible by a gift from Scott Brown ’79 and his wife Tracy Burnett Brown ’80, a graduate of the Connell School. The Browns also are parents of two BC graduates.

The Browns' gift was made as part of the University’s Light the World campaign to support the education of the next generation of nurse leaders.

University Trustee T.J. Maloney ’75, Provost and Dean of Faculties David Quigley, Connell School Dean and Professor Susan Gennaro and Scott Brown spoke at a March 11 dedication ceremony.
