Become a Bridge Scholar
For the 2026-27 academic year, this program is limited to Sophomores and Juniors
Sophomores
Sophomores who are interested in joining the Bridge Scholars Program can sign up for one of three dinners (dates) and can choose to attend four additional designated Bridge events.
They will write reflections on those events in their Bridge notebooks and record their attendance online.
Sophomores who qualify will have the option of registering for a junior course offered in either fall, 2027 or spring, 2028. Priority for the fall course will be given to students who plan to study abroad in spring, 2028.
Juniors
For this year only, Juniors who wish to join the Bridge Scholars Program will need to attend a dinner on October 7, 2026, and to attend two other Boston College events chosen from a list.
They will need to write a brief reflection on these three experiences in their Bridge notebook and track their attendance online. Students will need to complete these requirements by the beginning of junior registration (October 22, 2026) so that they can register for the required junior courses being offered in spring, 2027.
For the 2026-27 academic year, we will be able to admit 85 juniors to the program. Juniors admitted to the program will take either (list two courses). By the beginning of fall 2027 registration in April 2027, there will be a list of senior options for juniors to choose from for their final Bridge year.
