Sunni and Shia Muslims are often portrayed as inherently in conflict with one another, despite being members of the same faith tradition. This presentation examines the historical and theological developments of Sunni and Shia identities and their intertwining with politics and economics, analyzing cooperation, conflict, and hopes and challenges for the future.
