Presenter: Mark Massa, S.J., Gasson Visiting Professor of Theology, Boston College, and Rahner Distinguished Professor of Theology and co-director of the Curran Center for American Catholic Studies, Fordham University.

Respondents: Rev. Richard Lennan, STM professor of systematic theology, and Hosffman Ospino, STM assistant professor of Hispanic ministry and religious education and faculty director of Hispanic ministry programs.

The Second Vatican Council described the Church as the entire “people of God.”  “A more evangelical Catholicism” is a call to balance Catholicism’s sacramental and dogmatic traditions with a more affective, democratic set of values.  It is the invitation to finally “cash in” on the promise of Vatican II.
