Productivity and Energy-Saving Technology

Research conducted by Professor Anant Nyshadham, along with Achyuta Adhvaryu of University of Michigan and Namrata Kala of MIT Sloan School of Management showed that when garment manufacturing firms in India changed their lighting systems to energy-efficient LEDs, the ambient temperature on the factory floor was reduced resulting in a substantial increase in worker productivity.
