Administration

Tom Miller
Interim Director
Tom Miller is the Interim Director of the Campus School. Previously, Tom was the Director of the Kevin O’Grady at the Northshore Education Consortium and prior to that he was the Director of Infant and Toddler and School Age Services at Perkins School for the Blind. In addition to being the Interim Director, Tom is also an Adjunct Faculty member and Practicum Supervisor in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College. Tom has presented nationally and internationally developing programs and advocating for specialized services for learners with low incidence conditions and their families.

Kathy Gaudreau
Assistant Director/Educational Administrator
Kathy Gaudreau began at the Campus School in February 2018 to assist the administration with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Coordinated Program Review, policy revisions and classroom staff support. During the years since that winter, she has assumed the role of assistant director for two years and most recently as a consultant. Previous to joining the Campus School, Kathy was Director of Special Education for Dedham Public Schools for nearly a decade. Her roles as a special education teacher were varied, beginning as a self-contained classroom special educator and concluding as an integrated preschool teacher for almost 20 years, before moving on to administrative roles. As a life-long professional in the area of special education, Kathy holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education and special education and a CAGS in Educational Leadership.

Karalyn Hardiman
Social Worker
Kara McIntyre Hardiman, LICSW is the Campus School Social Worker, and a graduate of Boston College and the Boston College School of Social Work. Her professional experience includes working with patients and families in hospice and palliative care settings, as well as at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she served on the Ethics Committee. She has also been an Advisor at the BC School of Social Work since 2012. She was a panelist at a Massachusetts Medical Society conference, and a parent panelist at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her current role includes working with, supporting, and advocating for Campus School students and families, coordinating family services and resources, and facilitating the Parent Advisory Group. Kara is the wife of an educator and a mother of four.

Jennifer Miller
Marketing and Outreach Manager
Jennifer Miller is the Marketing and Outreach Manager at the Campus School and began her BC career in July 2020. Jennifer previously served as the Assistant Director of Marketing at the British International School of Boston and prior to that was a marketing consultant at Pine Manor College. Jennifer oversees the Campus School’s marketing, outreach, and advancement efforts. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and lives in Brookline with her husband, three children, dog, and rabbit.

Susan O'Donnell
Business Manager
Susie O'Donnell has been at the Campus School since 2006 and serves as the Business Manager. She graduated from St. Anselm College with a degree in Computer Science with Business and in 2012 she earned a Masters of Science in Administrative Studies through the Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College. Prior to joining Campus School, Susie retired from Delta Airlines where she loved traveling. She enjoys being a member of the BC community and working with the students and staff at the Campus School.

Kristina Pagliocca
Administrative Assistant
Kristina Pagliocca is the Administrative Assistant at the Campus School at Boston College. Kristina joined the Campus School in February 2021 and earned her B.A. from UMass Amherst, where she majored in Communication and minored in English. Kristina works in the Main Office supporting all functions of the Campus School including greeting all staff, students, and visitors; handling billing and tuition; and maintaining all student files.

Jessica Pugliesi
Assistant Director
Jessica Pugliesi is the Assistant Director at the Campus School. Previously, Jessica worked as a BCBA, severe special education teacher, and transition coordinator for a public school. She also provided in-home parent training and oversaw a social skills group for students 5-15. She received her Masters in Severe Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College as well as her Transition Endorsement from UMASS Boston. Additionally, she holds her administrative license in special education.

Emily Redfern
Volunteer Coordinator
Emily Redfern is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Campus School. She oversees, coordinates, and manages all volunteer events, clubs, and opportunities throughout the academic year both within Boston College and externally. Prior to her current position Emily worked as an ESL teacher and refugee case manager in Lebanon. Emily earned her B.A. from Saint Mary's College of California in 2017 and is currently a Boston College graduate earning her masters in Social Work and Business Administration.
Teachers

Amanda Brennen
Special Education Teacher
Amanda Brennen is a Classroom Teacher and Teacher Leader. Amanda is responsible for creating accessible and engaging lessons for students as well as leading collaboration efforts for all the classrooms. Prior to working at the Campus School, Amanda was a long term substitute for Taunton Public Schools. Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College and a Bachelor’s degree in Severe Special Education from Bridgewater State University. Amanda is also the recipient of the Bernard A. Stotsky/Thomas H. Browne Prize from Boston College.

Marlena DiMattia
Special Education Teacher
Marlena DiMattia, M.Ed. is a classroom teacher at the Campus School at Boston College. Prior to becoming a teacher, she was a teacher assistant for three years while working towards her master’s degree in Severe Special Education from the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, which she earned in 2020. Marlena was a live-in staff at a group home for adults with developmental disabilities from 2017-2021. She is a certified CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) instructor. She loves filling her classroom with music and plants and feels lucky to be following in her grandfather’s footsteps, Philip DiMattia, a founder, and former director of the Campus School.

Meghan Dove
Special Education Teacher
Meghan Dove is a high school/transition age classroom teacher. She graduated from Endicott College with a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies in 2018 and a masters degree in Special Education for Extensive Support Needs from Boston College in 2020. She has been working at the Campus School at Boston College since 2018. She has completed coursework in the area of deafblindness and is currently working towards a certificate in Transition Leadership from Bridgewater State University. Her classroom focuses on functional vocational skills, self-determination, and socialization. Her classroom started the Campus School Store that runs biweekly and sells to the Boston College community.

Meaghan Reddy
Special Education Teacher
Meaghan Reddy is the Pre-K/K classroom teacher and has been teaching at the Campus School for three years. Meaghan plans and executes lessons that address IEP objectives and engages all students. Prior to working at the Campus School, Meaghan worked as a lead teacher in Malden Public Schools educating students with extensive learning needs. Meaghan holds a Master's degree in Severe Special Education from Simmons University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Emmanuel College.

Elisa Rowe
Special Education Teacher
Elisa Rowe is a classroom teacher at the Campus School, where she has worked since 2018. Previously, she was a teaching assistant and Life Skills teacher. She graduated with her M. Ed. from Boston College in 2021, during which she also earned the Teaching English Language Learners (TELL) certificate and was the recipient of the The Bernard A. Stotsky/Thomas H Browne Prize. Prior to the Campus School, Elisa was the Children’s Education Coordinator at a shelter for families experiencing homelessness, where she ran an after school program for children and young adults. As an educator, she is passionate about justice-oriented and equitable education that disrupts unjust systems and practices and empowers students to fully participate and thrive in their communities. When she is not lesson planning, you can find Elisa at various literary events around the city.

Lauren Walton
Special Education Teacher
Lauren Walton joined the Campus School in August 2020 as a middle school teacher. She graduated from Boston University with a master’s degree in Special Education with a focus in both moderate and severe disabilities. Lauren’s favorite part of teaching at the Campus School is being a member of a community where teamwork and collaboration are so highly valued in every student’s educational programming. When Lauren isn’t conducting science experiments or throwing dance parties in the classroom, she is most likely taking her pets for a walk, trying a new restaurant, or planning a fun classroom activity.
Speech and Language Therapy

Kara Casey
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Kara Casey is the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) at the Campus School. Kara is responsible for providing speech therapies, fixing high tech AAC equipment, updating and managing all communication systems. Prior to working at the Campus School, Kara worked as a paraprofessional for the Randolph Public Schools. She served as an aid to students and teachers for the Language Based and the English Language Learners Program (ELL), as well as assisted the reading specialist in various tasks and testing. She has a bachelor’s in communication sciences and disorders as well as a minor in psychology from Bridgewater State University. Kara is currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Boston College.

Ruzhena Sikarova
Speech Language Pathologist
Ruzhena Sikarova has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Campus School since 1997. She is responsible for evaluations and treatment of students’ receptive and expressive communication skills. Ruzhena teaches non speaking students to communicate using Augmentative and Alternative Communication. She works closely with teachers and families to implement AAC systems into the classrooms and homes. Prior to joining the Campus School, Ruzhena worked at Franciscan Hospital for Children and the Kennedy Day School. She holds a Master degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Moscow Pedagogical University. Ruzhena is licensed in Massachusetts and she is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Allyson Wilson
Speech Language Pathologist
Allyson Wilson received her graduate degree from the University of Connecticut with a M.A. in Communication Disorders in 2005. She is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist, who holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). At the Campus School, Allyson is responsible for working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to conduct speech/language evaluations, AAC evaluations, assess access methods, and provide treatment that focuses on improving functional communication for each student. During her free time, Allyson enjoys DIY home projects and spending time with her husband, three children and goldendoodle, Henry.
Physical Therapy

Alysha Croke
Physical Therapist
Alysha L Croke joined the Campus School at Boston College as a physical therapist in June 2014. She received her Bachelor's of Science in 2009 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from American International College. Alysha enjoys engaging her students in exciting mobility activities to help them reach their fullest potential. In her free time, she loves spending time with her two year old daughter, hanging out at the beach and crocheting with her mom.

Olivia Dineen
Physical Therapist
Olivia Dineen is a Campus School Physical Therapist. She graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Simmons University. Olivia has a broad range of experience across different pediatric populations and ages, in a variety of settings. She has worked with patients with neurological diagnoses, orthopedic diagnoses and students with medical complexities. She is thrilled to be in her third year at the Campus School! Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, yoga and spending time with her friends and family.
Occupational Therapy

Jessica van Hoff
Occupational Therapist
Jessica van Hoff has worked as an Occupational Therapist at the Campus School since August 2013. She received her MS in occupational therapy from Boston University in 2012, and earned her BS from Penn State University in 2007. After completing one of her full-time fieldwork experiences at the Campus School in 2011 and briefly working in outpatient neurorehab, Jess eagerly returned to the Campus School. She also works part-time with Deaf-Blind adults and is proficient in ASL. In her free time, Jess enjoys hiking, crafting, and spending time with her family and dog.

Veronica Ho
Occupational Therapist
Veronica Ho, OTR/L, is an Occupational Therapist at the Campus School and received her Masters of Occupational Therapy at Bay Path College. Veronica has had the opportunity to work with pediatric clients in early intervention, outpatient, and school settings. Through these experiences, she has helped children with a variety of diagnoses through the utilization of sensory-integration, therapeutic approaches for feeding difficulties, fine and gross motor development, executive functioning strategies, and behavioral modification approaches. She is committed to understanding what motivates the students she works with so that she can incorporate their interests into treatment and help them achieve their goals. Her training includes DIRFloortime®, Learning without Tears, and the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding.
Nurses

Michelle Hannon
Registered Nurse
Michelle Hannon is one of three Registered Nurses at the Campus School at Boston College. She is responsible for managing the medical needs of the students while they are at school. Prior to working at the Campus School, Michelle was a Registered Nurse at Boston Children's Hospital on the Cardiology Floor for 14 years. She has her BSN from Villanova University.

AnneMarie Morgan
Registered Nurse
AnneMarie Morgan has been a Program Nurse at the Campus School at Boston College since 2014. She is one of three Registered Nurses, responsible for coordinating and monitoring the total health care program for the complex health care needs of the students. Prior to working at the Campus School, AnneMarie worked for Northeast Clinical Services as a clinical nurse and case manager. She has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Framingham State University and received a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College in 2019. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Nursing Education. AnneMarie is also a certified Yoga Instructor and Reiki Practitioner and enjoys knitting.
Life Skills

Sonam Shankar
Life Skills Coordinator
Sonam Shankar joined the Campus School in November 2021 as a Life Skills Coordinator. Previously, she has worked in Special Education and Disability Services for 5 years in the K-12 public schools system and a year at Massachusetts Bay Community College. She has a Master’s degree in Special Education from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from UMass Amherst. As an educator, she’s passionate about helping students overcome challenges. In her free time, Sonam enjoys watching Boston sports, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
Assistive Technology

Jennifer Gemski
Assistive Technology Specialist
Jennifer Gemski is the Assistive Technology Specialist and EagleEyes Instructor at the Campus School. She previously worked at The Education Cooperative as a Technology Specialist. Jennifer holds a Master of Education from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University. Jennifer's areas of interest include: Makerspaces, the design and creation of custom assistive technology, and using technology to support literacy. Jennifer is a Member of RESNA.
Music Therapy

Geoffrey Barnes
Music Therapist
Geoff Barnes is a music therapist (MT-BC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has been working with, and learning from, children and adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, and visual impairments for twenty years. He currently offers music therapy at the Campus School at Boston College and is also an Assistant Professor at Lesley University in the Division of Psychology and Applied Therapies.
Vision Therapy

Paula Honzik
Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments
Paula Honzik joined the Campus School in 2017 as the teacher of students with visual impairments and certified instructor of orientation and mobility. She previously worked in the same position with the Boston Public Schools for 35 years. Paula holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master degree in education from Boston College. She holds an additional Master Degree in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Paula is excited to be back at her alma mater and working with the Boston College community.
