Athletic Event Parking

  • Traffic will be directed by BCPD and signs will be posted to identify event parking areas.
  • At 3:00 p.m. on event days, the Beacon Street Garage will be reserved for permit holders only (Boston College–issued stickers or athletic event parking permits), and will be restricted through 15 minutes after the start of the event when the Garage will open to the general public.
    Note: Fifteen minutes after the start of an event, a limited number of spaces will be reserved on Level 2 through the duration of the event to accommodate faculty, staff, and students arriving later in the day. Also at this time, Levels 1, 3, and 4 of the Beacon Street Garage will be open to the general public.
  • The Beacon Street Garage will close to visitors at 3:00 p.m. on event days. All visitors will be asked to enter campus through the St. Ignatius Gate after receiving a visitor's permit from the gate attendant and will be directed to park in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage.
  • Campus parking lots will open 1.5 hours prior to the start of the event to the general public attending events. The general public will be asked to enter campus via the St. Ignatius Gate. Parking will be provided in various lots such as the Commonwealth Avenue Garage, Robsham Lot, and the Connell Recreation Center.
  • The More Hall parking lot will be reserved at 5:00 p.m. on event days for permit holders only (BC-issued stickers or athletic event parking permits) to accommodate overflow athletic event attendees when the Beacon Street Garage Levels 1, 3, and 4 become full. Level 2 of the Beacon Street Garage will remain open for BC issued permit holders.
  • Information regarding this parking plan will be posted to the BC community on BC News prior to weekday events.

 

Football Event Day Parking


During the football season, all vehicles, including resident (SRF and SGS2) permit vehicles, must be moved off the Chestnut Hill Campus by 11:00 p.m. the evening prior to scheduled home football games. Students with resident permitted vehicles (SRF and SGS2) may park on the Newton Campus for home football games. Vehicles remaining on the Chestnut Hill Campus after midnight will be towed at the owner's expense. Parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Boston College will also result in towing.

Parking for the games is by special permit only on BC grounds. Offsite satellite parking is availible in Brighton (20 Guest St. Brighton, MA, 02135) and in Needham (89 A St. Needham, MA, 02494).  See the BC Eagles Web site for more details on game day parking and transportation.

Men's Basketball and Ice Hockey
 

  • Campus parking lots open for event attendees 1½ hours prior to the start of the event.
  • Traffic will be directed by the BCPD, and signs will be posted to identify event parking areas.
     

General Public Parking

  • The general public will be asked to enter campus via the St. Ignatius Gate. Parking will be provided in various lots such as the Commonwealth Avenue Garage, Robsham Lot, and the Connell Recreation Center. Boston College Police Officers will be available to direct general public to the nearest available parking location.
     

Flynn Fund/University-Issued Permit Holder Parking

  • The Beacon Street Garage will be reserved for permit holders only (Boston College–issued parking permits or Flynn Fund parking permits) and will be restricted through 15 minutes after the start of the event, when all on-campus parking will be open to the general public.
  • Certain Flynn Fund Parking Permits will also be allowed to park on Campanella Way.
  • Flynn Fund Permit Holders should follow the directions listed on the reverse side of their permit for best access to their parking area.
  • Note: 15 minutes after the start of an event, a limited number of spaces will be reserved on Level 2 of the Beacon Street Garage through the duration of the event to accommodate faculty, staff, and students arriving later in the day.
     

Campus Visitors Not Attending the Event

  • The Beacon Street Garage will close to visitors at 3:00 p.m. on weekday event days and 3 hours prior to the start of the event on weekends.
  • All visitors will be asked to enter campus through the St. Ignatius Gate, receive a visitor's permit from the gate attendant and be directed to park in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage.

Women's Basketball Day Events
 

General Public Attending the Event

  • Campus parking lots open for event attendees 1½ hours prior to the start of the event.
  • Individuals attending these events should park in the Beacon Street Garage, levels 3 & 4, or in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage on levels 2-6 (white-lined spaces only).
  • Parking is free of charge in both the Beacon Street and Commonwealth Avenue Garages on a Women's Basketball game day.
     

Campus Visitors Not Attending the Event

  • The Beacon Street Garage will close to visitors at 3:00 p.m. on weekday event days and 3 hours prior to the start of the event on weekends.
  • All visitors will be asked to enter campus through the St. Ignatius Gate, receive a visitor's permit from the gate attendant, and be directed to park in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage.

Volleyball, Women's Ice Hockey, Tennis, Swimming, and Fencing
 

  • Campus parking lots open for event attendees 1½ hours prior to the start of the event.
  • Individuals attending these events should park in the Beacon Street Garage, levels 3 & 4, or in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage on levels 3–6.

Men's and Women's Soccer, Field Hockey, and Women's Lacrosse
 

  • Parking is available at the Newton Sports Complex.
  • Campus parking lots open for event attendees 1½ hours prior to the start of the event.
  • Parking is free for all athletic events to the Newton Campus Sports Complex.
  • Signs will be posted to identify event parking areas.

Baseball and Softball
 

  • GPS Address: 2125 Commonwealth Ave., Brighton, Mass.
  • Campus parking lots open for event attendees 1 1/2 hours prior to the start of the event.
  • Parking is free for all athletic events at the Harrington Athletics Village at Brighton Fields.
  • Signs will be posted to identify event parking areas.
  • Parking is limited to 750 spaces on Brighton. Should the lots fill, fans will be directed to the main Chestnut Hill Campus.
