From Atlanta to Seattle, hundreds of Boston College alumni will roll up their sleeves on April 14 to pitch in on a variety of community projects in the University spirit of “men and women for others.”

Service projects will range from cooking and serving breakfast to clients at the West Side Catholic Center’s Women and Children’s Center in Cleveland to helping with a citizenship workshop in Dallas to the sorting and distribution of women’s and children’s clothes for needy families in Sarasota, Fla.

In the Boston area, alumni volunteers will hold a food drive at the University’s new Alumni Center on the Brighton Campus, where non-perishable food products will be collected for distribution to pantries in Dorchester, Allston-Brighton, Dedham and the Greater Boston Food Bank. Donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on April 14 at the center.
