Boston College Law School Associate Professor Daniel Lyons discusses the strategy behind the proposed $85 billion AT&T /Time Warner merger, and how regulators may respond to it.


Daniel Lyons specializes in the areas of telecommunications and Internet regulation, administrative law, and property. He is a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute’s Center for Internet, Communications, and Technology Policy, and has participated in proceedings before both the Federal Communications Commission and various state public utilities commissions. He is a frequent contributor to several blogs on the intersection of law and technology, including TechPolicyDaily.com. Before joining the BC Law School faculty, he practiced energy, telecommunications, and administrative law in Los Angeles. He has also spoken at workshops nationwide on net neutrality, Internet regulation, and the effects of technology convergence on telecommunications law, and has provided commentary for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Forbes, and Bloomberg Radio, among other media.
