Appalachia Volunteers

More than 500 Boston College students fan out to 40 U.S. cities and towns during each Spring Break, where they live in solidarity alongside the poor and marginalized families that they commit to serve. Appalachia Volunteers – familiarly known as “Appa” – is BC's largest service-immersion program. Experience Appa in this video; learn more about the program here.

Appalachia Volunteers at work for others during Spring Break 2017 were featured on WNCT-TV News in Greenville, N.C.; on WSOC-TV in Charlotte, N.C.; by SCNow in Florence, S.C., and the Herald-Dispatch in Huntington, W.V.
