The General Catechetical Directory makes clear that the defining purpose of catechesis is that people come to personally encounter the Risen Christ and to embrace a life of discipleship to Jesus.  What does such an encounter and commitment mean and how can catechists and pastoral ministers intentionally promote as much?  These questions shape the presentations and conversations of this Ministry Renewal Day.
