Dear Members of the BC Community:

As you have likely heard, Saoirse Kennedy Hill, Class of 2020, a communication major in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences, died at her family’s home in Hyannis on August 1.

Saoirse was a gifted student who aspired to work in the communications field and contribute to the national dialogue through TV, radio, music, and film.

She was active in the College Democrats, and had many friends on campus.

I ask you to keep Saoirse and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

Our Campus Ministry and University Counseling Services staff are available to assist anyone in need. When information regarding a memorial service is available, we will share it via BC News.

We care deeply about our students and all members of the BC community.  In the remaining days of summer, I hope that you will take care of yourself, and of each other.

Sincerely,

Joy Moore
Vice President for Student Affairs
