Presenter:  Susan Bigelow Reynolds

Weaving together stories drawn from years of ministry and ethnographic research in a parish in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood, this lecture reflects on what it means to do theology in community. Lifting up the theological agency of communities on the margins of church and society, it invites us to rethink our understanding of how—and where—the work of theology unfolds.

The lecture is accompanied by the presentation of the Alumni Distinguished Service Award.

Sponsored by the STM

Susan Bigelow Reynolds, assistant professor of Catholic Studies, Candler School of Theology, Emory University
