Translating Research on Aging & Work into Practice: Effective Strategies for Communicating with Employers

For the next several months, the Sloan Research Network on Aging & Work will host a blog series, Translating Research on Aging & Work into Practice: Effective Strategies for Communicating with Employers.

The blogs are all derived from papers presented at a pre-conference workshop developed for the 21st IAGG World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatics in San Francisco, July, 2017. The conference was supported by the National Institute on Aging, the Gerontological Society of America, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and the Australian Retirement Institute.

The first blog, Protected or Deflected? Impact of Employment Protection Legislation on Forced Career Exit in Europe, by Drs. Martin Hyde (from Swansea University in the UK) and Ellen Dingemans (from the Netherlands Demographic Institute), is out today. We welcome comments and discussions that we hope the blogs inspire.
