CELEBRATING THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY

This year, the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics celebrates its 20th anniversary. Guided by our mission to prepare students to lead with integrity and serve as engaged global citizens, we continue to offer programs that expose students to a wide range of ideas, perspectives, and experiences.

As our nation observes the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we have an opportunity to reflect on America's founding promise of a fair and just society. Throughout the semester, our programming will explore the extent to which that promise has been realized and the challenges that remain.

On Thursday, September 17, acclaimed author and presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin will return to Boston College as part of the Winston Center's 20th Anniversary celebration. She will join constitutional scholar and professor Akhil Reed Amar for a conversation examining American leadership over the past 250 years and the enduring principles and values embodied in the Constitution.

This fall, the Forum on Ethics will feature television writer Michael Schur (Parks and Recreation and The Good Place). The Clough Colloquium will feature presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, and the Women in Leadership Forum will feature former U.S. Archivist Colleen Shogan '97. The Brennan Symposium will feature Netflix's head of well-being, William Ajayi. The Jane Jacobs Lecture will feature professor and author Sara Bronin. Click here for more fall 2026 programs.
